Congrats to competitors at US Grappling

April 4, 2016

Congrats to Foundry/Alliance students competing at US Grappling this weekend in Laurel, Maryland.

Amir took double gold, dominating his opponents and not giving up even an advantage.

Samantha took gold & silver, submitting most of her opponents, including a 20 second armlock. She avenged her NoGi final loss with a quick submission during the Gi competition.

Sylke had to go up 1 or 2 weight classes and still put on a technical clinic, totally dominating her opponents until losing in the final to a much larger competitor.

Russ went down to adult & lost a razor close ref decision in NoGi.  Russ fought up in weight & down in age in Gi, taking a bronze against some really tough opponents.

Danny fought in the Black Belt Absolute against some tough opponents, giving up 100lbs in one of his matches.

Great job to all those who stepped up to compete & to those who helped coach.  #Foundry4Life
