The Foundry placed 6th in Team Standings at US Grappling last weekend out of a LOT of teams from MD, DC, VA, DE, PA, and W. VA

Excellent showing for a young academy that sent only 14 competitors!!!

...on his promotion to Blue Belt.  Wai has been doing a great job in class and recently took gold in both his Gi and No-Gi divisions.

Congratulations Wai!

Is that Marcelo???

Here results from Saturday's US Grappling Competition:

Foundry Results from a huge US
Grappling competition that was very smoothly run.  It was impressive the way they kept all the mats working efficiently throughout the day.  A great competition and looking forward to going back.

NoGi:
TJ silver
Eddie bronze (confusing call
cost him the match that would have sent him for gold)
Wai gold (didn't have a point scored on him)
Cong bronze
Michael U. silver
Ty gold
Nathan silver (absolutely horrible dq from a takedown
call cost him gold. Horrible)

Great job Stacy, Ben P, Garren losing tough, competitive
matches

GI:
Cesar gold & silver
Ty Gold
Wai Gold (didn't have a point scored on him)
Michael U.  bronze
Nathan Gold
Alex N. silver

Eddie, Ben, and Stacy and Garren won and lost
tough matches.

Awesome job guys. We must be near the top of the chart
with our showing!!!

Thank you to all the students and family that came out to support our academy!

Here is Ty's first Gi match (please pardon the music).  Excellent technique displayed.  We will post a bunch of other videos this week! Please check back.
